It was called the previous years the BPS Statistics also for the Indonesian Independence Proclamation activities, including the BPS Statistic of Parepare City. The ceremony was held in front of the BPS Office of Parepare City.

The Head of the Indonesian BPS BPS, read by the Head of BPS of the City of Parepare as the ceremony inspector, said that the Indonesian state and nation in various dimensions and diversity could remain united in the frame of Unity in Diversity, mutual respect and involvement in building Indonesia. Similarly, BPS personnel are to remain solid and integrated in their work and provide quality statistical data.

The results of the hard work of BPS personnel have succeeded in making various achievements and aligning themselves with other countries. For example, the BPS website won a ranking of 27 out of 180 countries and ranked second in ASEAN regarding data disclosure in 2017 based on Open Data Watch (ODW). BPS also managed to get an "accurate" statement from the IMF for data on economic growth.

Regarding the earthquake that struck the province of West Nusa Tenggara, the Head of BPS hoped that BPS personnel would help and help our brothers who were affected by sending donations.
