Gross Regional Domestic Product of Parepare Municipality by Expenditure 2020-2024

The total value of Parepare's GRDP based on current prices (adhb) during the 2020-2024 period still shows an increase from year to year. In 2024, it reached around 9.97 trillion rupiah or not much different from the previous year. The increase in the GRDP value was not only due to increased production, but also due to the influence of price changes. During the 2020-2024 period, Parepare's economic development based on the adhk GRDP showed that all components of the adhk GRDP final expenditure increased in 2024 after previously experiencing a decline in 2020.During the 2020-2024 period, the products consumed in the Parepare Municipality area were mostly to meet the final consumption needs of households (above 50 percent). The large portion of household consumption expenditure is the main driving factor for the large demand for goods and services. Capital expenditure (PMTB) also plays a relatively large role with a contribution of around 39-42 percent. The proportion of government final consumption is in the range of 13 - 15 percent. This shows that the government's role in absorbing domestic products is not too large.Another macro aggregate that can be derived from GRDP data is real GRDP growth or better known as economic growth, which describes development performance in the economic sector. Parepare's economic growth from 2020 - 2024 averaged 3.85 percent, which when viewed from the year-to-year trend slowed down and experienced a contraction in 2020. The highest growth occurred in 2022, which was 5.93 percent, while the lowest occurred in 2020 at -0.08 percent, which was caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, in 2024, economic growth increased compared to 2023, which was 5.09 percent.
