Costumer Price Index and Inflation Rate of Parepare Municipality 2024

In 2024, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of Parepare Municipality increased. This is in line with the development of the CPI at the South Sulawesi Province and National levels which also increased. The highest CPI in Parepare Municipality occurred in June 2024. However, unlike South Sulawesi Province and National, the highest CPI occurred in December 2024.In 2024, the expenditure group with the highest CPI in Parepare Municipality was the Transportation group with a CPI of 113.54. Meanwhile, the expenditure group with the lowest CPI was the Information, Communication, and Financial Services group with a CPI of 99.56. The expenditure group with the highest inflation was recorded in the Health group at 7.50 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure group that experienced deflation was the Household Supplies, Equipment, and Routine Maintenance group at 0.03 percent. The expenditure group with the highest contribution to inflation in Parepare Municipality was the Food and Beverage/Restaurant Provision group with a contribution of 0.46 percent.
